Altered Carbon AR comes to life and wins top honors

The Faceware Live Server and Live Client for Unreal powered Altered Carbon augmented reality experience for Netflix won big at the recent 2018 Lumiere Awards for Best Augmented Reality Experience. Created by MacInnes Scott and Here Be Dragons, the teams used Faceware’s Live Server and the Live Client for Unreal; realtime motion capture software to deliver the award-winning experience.

The Lumiere Awards recognize outstanding international achievement in the creation of immersive storytelling using advanced visual technologies, including augmented reality, virtual reality, high dynamic range, stereo 3D, artificial intelligence, realtime rendering, and more.
